Ge-NMF Primary Care Leadership Program

The future of Primary Care

This innovative service-learning program provides students with an opportunity to examine the challenges and rewards of primary care practice at community health centers (CHC) across the United States. PCLP Site Partners are located in Atlanta GA, Boston/Lynn MA, Chicago IL, Houston TX, Los Angeles, Miami FL, Mound Bayou MS, New York NY, Phoenix AZ, Rochester NY, and Seattle WA. GE-NMF PCLP Scholars will actively engage in leadership training, team-based project activities, and healthcare service delivery. Learn more about the history of the PCLP and its stakeholders.

PCLP Scholars will each receive a $5,000 scholarship stipend that is expected to cover travel, living, and lodging expenses during the service-learning experience period. PCLP Scholars complete their program requirements during a six week period from June 6, 2016 – July 15, 2016. Students are required to find their own housing and to arrange transportation to the placement city and throughout the service-learning experience period.



PCLP Scholars demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, leadership and distinguished contributions to medicine.
