Ge-NMF Primary Care Leadership Program

This innovative service-learning program provides students with an opportunity to examine the challenges and rewards of primary care practice at community health centers in across the United States. GE-NMF PCLP Scholars will actively engage in leadership training, independent project activities, and healthcare services relevant to both host sites and academic programs. PCLP Scholars will each receive a $7,000 scholarship stipend that is expected to cover travel, living, and lodging expenses during the externship period. PCLP Scholars complete their program requirements during a six week period between the months of June and August. Students are required to find their own housing and to arrange their transportation to the placement city and throughout the externship period.
